I connected with a virtual group led by Katie during a very tumultuous period with my daughter. There was great comfort in realizing that other adoptive parents share the same concerns and fears. Katie has a great talent for including everyone in the discussion, and giving solid suggestions for moving forward.”

Secret Facebook Group for Adoptive Parents
I’m incredibly excited to offer an online group for adoptive parents via an exclusive Facebook group page. For the month of April, I will be speaking via Facebook Live about the essential four topics discussed in the book which are unrescuing, setting adoption-sensitive limits, having connecting conversations and envisioning the future. Plus, I’ll answer as many questions as I can, live or via comments. Plus, I will be addressing issues such as communication with your teen, school, strengthening your relationship, and more. The Facebook Live sessions will be on Mondays at 10:30 EST, along with additional times throughout the week.
Included in the affordable one-time fee of $250 for the month of April, is a 30-minute call with me to address whatever is on your mind.
How do I access the group after I register?
I will e-mail you a link to the secret Facebook group.
How does this group differ from all of the other free adoptive Facebook groups I’m in?
This is truly a parent group, online. I’ll be offering two Live sessions per week as well as address questions throughout each week. We will be focusing in on one task at a time, allowing you the opportunity to explore how to apply it in your every day life. In addition, it includes a one-on-one 30-minute call with me.
If I join, how will I be expected to participate in the group?
I invite group members to listen and participate in my Facebook Live sessions via chat, ask questions throughout the week, and introduce yourself at the beginning. If you wanted to join as a silent participant, that’s perfectly fine, too!

The Local Book Group for Adoptive Parents
There’s nothing like being in the same room, face-to-face. It seems harder to come by, which makes it even more valuable! This group is often smaller, allowing each parent the time that they need. Along with the themes from the book – unrescuing, setting adoption-sensitive limits, having connecting conversations and envisioning the future, I’ll be addressing issues such as psychotherapy, school, the good adoptee, and more.
Included in the one-time fee of $250 is a 30-minute call with me to address whatever details we might not have gotten to in the group. If you would like to request a payment plan, please be in touch with me.

Can I join even if my children are younger or young adults?
Absolutely. The material is incredibly useful in parenting adoptees of a range of ages. Parents of younger children find it beneficial to apply the material but also to look ahead and parents of colleges students find that the “teen” themes are still alive and well!
Should I read your book before the group starts?
It’s not required, but highly recommended!
How many people will be in each group?
It varies, of course, but usually the local group has 4-6 people and the Facebook group may have up to 15 or 20.
