There is something about documentaries that gets us every time. It has to do with recording one’s narrative, one’s journey in a way that wasn’t possible in the beginning of our lives, as adoptees. Your narrative was important then and will always be important now.
As the adoption consultant in a documentary following two Chinese-adopted girls as they visit their birth country and get immersed in their culture. The China trip will happen in late July, in a few short weeks.
I applaud “Somewhere Between” for paving the road for documentaries like these and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of it, as an adoption consultant. These girls are amazing, and incredibly bright, articulate and ready to immerse themselves in the Chinese community, for three weeks. I can’t wait to talk with them when they get back.
